The COVENANT

Audition Dates: May 10th,  17th and 18th

Synopsis:

Ally has procrastinated until the last minute to begin an important school assignment
worth 1/3 of her grade. Her project is to write a research paper explaining the Biblical Covenant.
She is confident that with her newfound discovery of Alexa as an audio reference, she can get it
written and finished in one night.
Beginning her research, the different stories are enacted on the main stage as she writes
them down. She also adds an online audio KJV Bible as a reference, which backfires as some of
the passages are long and boring, putting her to sleep. During these times, her imaginary
characters personify, appear on stage and tell the story in their own way.
Stories of covenants made with God include Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Moses.
Other stories include Hannah, Daniel and his friends, young Samuel, Jeremiah, Ezra, Nehemiah,
and Yeshua.
Mount Moriah, located near Jerusalem and a place introduced early in the show, is the
location where most of the stories take place.
This family-friendly musical is full of fun and surprises. With the historical as well as
imaginary characters singing and dancing on stage, it will bring a smile to your face as it presents
the Biblical stories in a new and refreshing way.
